Raised on the shores of O‘ahu, Haley’s childhood was defined by the water, paddling outrigger canoes and chasing waterfalls. Her move to the mainland for school opened up a new world of adventure, where summers spent backpacking through Northern California and the iconic landscapes of Glacier and Yellowstone sparked a lifelong obsession with the American West.

Haley is a true veteran of the Western US, having guided professional expeditions from the coastal San Juan Islands to the high deserts and Wine Country of California. She eventually found a second “home” in Wyoming, spending several seasons designing and leading trips through the heart of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. This extensive field experience makes her an expert at balancing the “must-sees” with the quiet, hidden gems.

Now based in Washington State, Haley bridges the gap between dream and reality for Moterra guests, working across both our Itinerary and Customer Care teams. When she isn’t crafting the perfect route for others, she’s likely planning her own next trek, experimenting with a new recipe in the kitchen, or relaxing with her two cats.
