We want to empower you – our guests – to “Drive Your Experience” in comfort and freedom. Our luxury campervans come with everything you need to create the adventure of a lifetime, including the support of our dedicated and experienced team.

Moterra's Co-Founders - Our Purpose

Co-Founders Gabe, Trevor and Kevin share a deep passion for the outdoors and contribute unique and complementary professional skillsets. Our past experience includes 20+ years spent designing and coordinating high-end outdoor adventures ranging from bike trips in every corner of the Northern Hemisphere to Alaskan fishing trips. Add in business-building experience ranging from venture capital to founding a successful brewery, and we hope that our unique approach to building an enduring brand in outdoor travel becomes clear.

Our goal is to create unique and dynamic adventures for our guests. The types of adventures we like going on with our friends and families.

We invite you to get in touch so we can help you get beyond the standard tourist loops and to truly immerse yourself in the beauty, history, wildlife, geology and pristine open spaces of the western United States – in particular, our spectacular National Parks and public lands, to which we owe our inspiration. KEVIN DENEEN

Co-Founder, CEO

Kevin spent the first part of his career making and managing investments, including more than a decade in venture capital supporting startups innovating to make the energy and industrial ecosystems more sustainable. Most recently, he was part of the founding investment team at SE Ventures.

His work at Moterra represents a shift in focus back to the experiences that had inspired his interest in sustainability in the first place.

A Colorado native, Kevin has been lucky to live and adventure in many beautiful places throughout the Rocky Mountains, the Swiss Alps, the Desert Southwest, Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula, and along the West Coast. He is trained as a Wilderness First Responder.

TREVOR JAMES

Co-Founder, COO

From California to Vietnam, Trevor has spent the past decade criss-crossing the globe developing and guiding custom vacations for discerning clients. Through his work with one of the world’s top active travel companies, Trevor developed a deep and abiding passion for connecting people with new destinations, cultures and encounters.

When he’s not traveling, Trevor spends time in Jackson, WY, where he met and became fast friends with co-founder Gabe Aufderheide. Moterra was born out of their shared desire to be passionate liaisons between their beautiful home and its visitors through hospitality, knowledge and exceptional vans.

GABE AUFDERHEIDE

Co-Founder, CRO

Gabe has over ten years of experience guiding, designing, and customizing specialty travel across the globe. He has biked, hiked, skied, fished, and explored all over our amazing planet but has yet to find a place that offers the sort of pure beauty and access to adventure that Jackson Hole does – which is why, after 7 years and two kids, Gabe and his wife have no plans to leave Jackson any time soon.

Gabe’s passion is helping others experience, explore and enjoy the wonders of their public lands. He believes the best customer service is the kind that allows him to communicate openly and share his deep knowledge of place in order to enhance his guest’s overall experience.
