Glacier National Park

Pick up your van at our hub in Whitefish and head into West Glacier, where spectacular scenery awaits. Spend a peaceful first evening camped on the shores of Lake McDonald and then continue into the heart of the park on Glacier’s Going-to-the-Sun Road, famous for its sweeping scenery and magnificent engineering. The next two days are packed with hiking, swimming and boating options in some of the country’s most pristine protected areas, including iconic Many Glacier Valley.
Waterton National Park
1 night
Cross the border into Canada and get your first taste of the Canadian Rockies, your playground for the rest of the road trip! Plan to explore the waterfalls, trails and alpine lakes of this International Peace Park and camp right at Waterton Townsite tonight, a quick walk to the lakeside town’s charming restaurants and shops.
Banff, Lake Louise, and Icefields Parkway
5 nights
Continue north into Alberta, Canada, home to jagged peaks, alpine lakes, and infinite possibilities. Visit beloved destinations like Lake Louise and the staggeringly scenic Icefields Parkway, and get off-the beaten track in lesser known (but equally worthwhile) areas. Hike to your heart’s content, polar plunge in glacially fed waters, and soak in endless views of ancient glaciers and icefields!
