Updated Cancellation Policy
We want to ensure that our guests are able to respond to the rapidly evolving circumstances while focusing on the safety and enjoyment of your family. With that in mind, we have amended our cancelation policy for Spring reservations. This means that in addition to our standard 45-day cancellation period, all renters who need or want to change their travel plans will be offered full credit for trips that are scheduled to depart before May 31, 2020. The credit is to be used by May 31, 2021.
We will continue to closely monitor the situation and update this timeline as events unfold.
Cleaning Standards & Turnover Times
We have reviewed our cleaning standards to ensure that they meet or exceed CDC cleaning recommendations. The scope of these cleaning standards applies to all vans and camping equipment that are utilized on Moterra rentals.
In addition, drop-off time will move up half an hour to 10:30 AM and pick-up will be delayed half an hour to 2:30 PM. The additional hour will allow the individual cleaning your van added time to ensure a thorough deep clean between every rental. In addition, we have met all of our working staff to ensure they understand the importance, not only of added diligence when cleaning your van, but making sure everyone takes social distancing & hygiene seriously outside of the work environment. As usual, we will be flexible with timing as situations allow.
As always, your rental will come with disinfectant wipes so that you can maintain clean and hygienic conditions during your rental.
Temporary Extension of Minimum Trip Length
We are increasing the minimum number of nights per trip to six (6) nights for all new bookings departing before May 31, 2020. Extending our minimum trip length and thereby reducing the amount of traffic through our vans appears to be an appropriate way to balance our desire to safely accommodate renters while simultaneously minimizing risk to our team members who clean the vans between rentals. We believe these extraordinary times call for unique precautions, and we hope that renters interested in shorter trips will consider traveling with us in the future once circumstances have returned to normal.
