Here at Moterra, we are determined to make renting a campervan as easy as possible. That is why we are committed to clear and transparent pricing, which includes everything you will need for your campervan vacation — no paying extra for sleeping bags, cooking equipment, or other vacation necessities! What is included in the nightly price?

Fully Stocked Campervan
From stoves to cutlery to sleeping bags, your campervan will be completely stocked when you arrive with everything you’ll need for your adventure. A full list of what’s included with your rental can be found here.

100 Miles Per Night
We include 100 miles per night with every rental. If you think you’ll drive more than this amount, additional miles can be added at checkout for .25c per mile.

Unlimited drivers
We are all about sharing time behind the steering wheel, which is why you can add unlimited drivers at no extra cost.

How much will my trip cost?

Your trip cost will depend on the length of your trip, campervan style, location, and season. Should you choose to select our insurance, additional miles, or any other add-ons, the price will adjust accordingly. We recommend playing around with the booking system on our Reservations page to get an accurate estimate of the total cost wherever you’re planning to travel.

Campervan Nightly Rental
Our rates vary depending on the location, season and how far from departure you are booking. Please check our booking platform to get a quote for your dates. Sales tax is additional and varies depending on the state, but this will show up accordingly on your quote!
Cleaning Fee
A one-time $139 cleaning fee is applied to every Moterra reservation.
Insurance
You may be able to use your existing personal auto policy to cover your Moterra rental, meaning insurance is free (yay!). If your policy provider doesn’t cover you, we offer state minimums liability insurance on a Class B vehicle (starting at $13 a night), as well as a Collision Damage Waiver, which can be added to your reservation right up until departure. Gas & Miles
Our vans typically average 18mpg and are all diesel. 100 miles/night is included, but if you plan to drive more than your total allotted amount, you can add additional miles for $0.35/mile.

The Rules of Renting

Payment Dates

35% deposit to reserve, refundable up to 45-days from your pick-up. The reservation total will be charged 45-days prior to your departure date.

Minimum Age

The minimum driving age is 25. If you have your own insurance, we may be able to waive this depending on your driving record. Please reach out if this is you!

Minimum Nights

The minimum number of rental nights is 3-nights, or 5-nights during peak seasons (summer & holidays).

Cancellation Policy

The 35% deposit required to reserve a van is refundable* up to 45-days prior to your trip. At day 45, the remaining balance will be charged and the whole cost becomes nonrefundable. Moterra also offers cancellation protection, which you can read about here.

(*Note, all one-way fees and itinerary deposits are non-refundable from purchase)

Security Deposit

$1500 security deposit is charged to your card on file the day of your arrival and refunded within 7-days upon return of the undamaged vehicle.

Insurance Requirements

You are legally required to have third-party liability insurance that covers up to state minimums in order to drive. You can either prove that you have this through your personal provider in the form of an insurance binder, or you can buy third-party liability from us, which starts at $13/night. Read more here.

Other things to note when booking:

One-ways are available on a case-by-case basis and incur an additional fee. Call us for more information! We also sometimes have discounted one-ways available here.
We currently do not offer transportation from airports to Moterra hubs. All of our hubs are an easy Uber/Lyft/taxi from the airport.
Our earliest pick-up time is 10am. If you need to pickup earlier than this, please book the van for the night before to ensure its availability.
Our drop-off time is 12pm and we charge $50/hr for late drop-offs.
